About Shanna

I am a fluid artist based in Richmond, Vermont.

My interest in acrylic pour painting began during a homeschool activity with my then 3-year-old daughter.  We tried out the flip-cup technique, using tempera paints (because they are washable), Floetrol, and a splash of water.  I was fascinated by what happened; the way the paints flowed, the way they mixed, the patterns, and ohhh the cells!  I was hooked.

Once immersed in acrylic pour painting, I quickly realized I had a lot to learn about this seemingly simple artform.  I began experimenting with mediums, consistencies, additives, and paints.

I learn something new each time I pour, and have a lot of information to share with fellow artists. If you are interested in learning tips, tricks and techniques, or just want to see the creation of beautiful pieces unfold before your eyes; stay tuned for my youtube channel!

Update: I was recently interviewed by Vermont Channel 3 WCAX TV news and featured on a weekly segment called “Made in Vermont”. Check it out here: https://www.wcax.com/2022/11/14/made-vermont-vermont-fluid-art/
